Warwick, the setting: Rolling hills and pastoral scenes throughout the town. Known the region over for the place to go for apple picking in the fall, and the annual Applefest celebration in the Village of Warwick. The Village is arguably the most villagey village in the county and for many, once they see it they are sold on living here. The centerpiece of the village is the Historical Society's Old School Baptist Meeting House overlooking Lewis Park on Main Street, flanked across the street by the Village Hall, both with recent exterior renovations. Just stand there, imagine yourself in another time, and fall in love with the place...
Location The Town of Warwick NY is located on the southern border of Orange County, with Tuxedo to the southeast and Minisink to the northwest. Warwick is the second largest township in the State of New York, and includes the Villages of Florida, and Greenwood Lake. Historic Hamlets dot the town, with several of them pre-dating the Village of Warwick. They include Lakeville, Bellvale, Sugar Loaf, Durland, Wisner, New Milford, Edenville, Newport, Big Island, Little York, Pine Island, Liberty Corners, and not to forget our favorite Hamlet name, Snufftown! When looking to relocate to the "Warwick" area, it is quite common to search the Warwick School District rather than try to remember the names of all these places. However it is not quite so simple as Greenwood Lake and Florida have their own School Districts...so search on all three to cover the whole town easily.
The map-search on this site for "Warwick" includes all of these areas and school districts. If you use the "Warwick city" selection you'll achieve the same result.

Homes for Rent in Warwick NY The availability of homes for rent in Warwick NY is quite high right now, as owners who have been relocated to other parts of the county have held onto their NY properties - not able to sell them for what they paid for them, so they rent them out instead. Some great rental opportunities are available now as a result.
Homes for Sale in Warwick NY The area continues to build new homes and condos, and with the building that was done in the early part of the first decade, there are plenty of newer homes available for purchase ongoing. Homes are also available in all price ranges above $150,000, so first time buyers now have some choices. Values have dropped in the past two or three years, and are expected to remain that way for some time, along with historic lows in mortgage interest rates. The prices will probably hold at the current low values, but not so certain is where the mortgage market will eventually go.
